On saturday 2nd June 2012 a garden party was thrown by Julie, Len & Gill & Eileen to celebrate our Queen Elizabeth II sixty years on the throne.
Lauren & Kristen Union Flags
Young at heart enjoying the occasion, Gill having her hand painted with the Union Flag
and Julie wanted her face painted. Everyone who attended brought food and drink, so it what a struggle to find a place on the table for it all.
Folks watching the Kids, big and small, on the slide.
This is Lauren & Kristen thoroughly enjoying the slide…
They even managed to persuade a few adults to partake in a little childish pleasure.

They even managed to get me on there
The weather/rain managed to hold off for the majority of the day, but there were plenty of shelters just in case. Lots of chatter going on, people enjoying there time.
The houses on this road were built in the early 70’s, and a lot of the guests have lived in this road since they were built.
Towards the end of the evening a game of musical chairs was played
Even Prince Charles played a game (Harry from next door).
All in all a great night was had by everyone, and a fantastic start to four days of celebrations. Sunday 3rd was the River Thames Royal Pageant which was an amazing sight to see. Just a pity it rained so much.
